CHRISTMAS SNOW
Twas the week before Christmas and what do I see But green tufts of grass staring at me Snow and ice melting, puddles just a few The weatherman says it’s just forty-two The ten day forecast is looking weak Sun and clouds, high temps for a week Put away your boots, scarves, mittens, and hats Winter jackets not needed, shorts are back Winter scenes on green lawns look out of place Christmas lights on houses look like fine lace God we need to talk about this sight that I see Snow on Christmas means a lot to me I know Christmas isn’t about snow and cold I know it isn’t about high temps or low Christmas you see isn’t about the sun Christmas is always about the Son Copyright © 14 December 2014 Valerie Jean Routhieaux
